Health Care Protective Wear Drive – uOttawa Students will pickup for hospital use.

Do you have PPE (health care protective wear) that you can donate?

A group of medical students are currently working with the Faculty of Medicine and the Ottawa Hospital to collect community PPE for donation to our local health care workers.

Especially looking for/specifically asking DENTAL and VETERINARY OFFICES, NAIL SALONS, CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES, and LABORATORIES for donations including surgical masks, N95 masks, gloves, gowns, hand sanitizer, face shields, goggles, feet/head coverings, disinfectants wipes, and universal transfer media certified viral swab kits.

“We are actively working with TOH, the school and also Ontario Medical Associations to ensure that connections are made to those who are most in need. I know that OMA and the Hospital are connected at the highest level to ensure this happens and specific task forces are also in place to ensure this.

At this time, all donations are shuttled through us or the school to TOH, where distribution will take place. We are currently taking any and all that we can get; the Hospital may be able to put into use industrial or expired goods because there is a vetting process set up by them.

By filling out the link below, one of our team members will reach out to donors to facilitate pick up and drop off in a safe manner. I can also provide a letter of support of our effort from TOH and the school if necessary.

Thank you so much again and we are happy to answer any questions. Hope you are keeping safe!
