Hi Marc, have you reached out to the charities listed on this website to see if they are interested? CharityWishList.ca is like a directory, you would still need to make the first attempt to connect with those listed. Then if you can’t find someone listed interested, please let me know and I will look for other options. Thanks for wanting to find a new home for the furniture. Sincerely, Michelle, CWL.

Hi Jonathan, I’m actually also looking into helping to find a new home for 40 desks and chairs. Please email me letting me know what part of Vancouver you are in and the quantity and size of the desk drawers and chairs. Hello,
We have several hundred black binders of various sizes to donate. We are a law office located in the Guildford area of Surrey. Please call 604-595-2319. thank you
Hi Ronda, (I will call too as requested.) Several hundred is a lot of binders. I would suggest donating to a school. Here is a link for making donations of items to schools in Surrey BC. Perhaps they can use for their art classes – for students to keep their art projects grouped together for example. From their website: “If you are interested in giving a gift-in-kind, please contact the Business Development Department at [email protected] or 604-595-6066.”

Hi there,
Our company has excessive incandescent lighting fixtures that we want to donate. They are a bit dated but new and unopened, and we have dozens of pallets of them. We gave a portion to Habitat of Humanity and they couldn’t take no more. I wonder if there is an organization that accepts such items in large quantity. Thanks.
Hi Yannan, unfortunately, your likely best option would be to check with other Habitat for Humanity Restores. Incandescent lighting is so much more expensive to use than the current lighting solutions like LEDs. Charities would be more apt to want to go with energy-saving solutions from the get-go to save on energy costs.
Since you are in Vancouver, you might want to try City of Vancouver https://vancouver.ca/green-vancouver/zero-waste-drop-off-events.aspx they take incandescent light fixtures. Hope this is helpful.
Sincerely,
Michelle Beaupré
