  1. Hello, my name is Donald Wesley and I work in facilities for CPA Canada, I sometime deal with surplus office supplies, some are new and some are slightly used and I am looking for a place to send them where they could get some use instead of ending up in a landfill. Pens, markers and possibly calculators we could provide and other office supplies.

    • CharityWishList.ca

Hello Donald, thank you for your inquiry. I would suggest contacting the Toronto Wildlife Centre (contact info on my CharityWishList.ca website; and for their current needs list: https://www.torontowildlifecentre.com/donate/wish-list/#office .

As well, you could try your local Boys & Girls Clubs as they often have after school programs that could use supplies and furniture etc. https://www.bgccan.com/EN/Pages/default.aspx

If you have more items than both of these organizations can use, please do contact me again and I will look into further options for you.

      Thanks,
      Michelle Beaupre

    • Hi
I work in am inner city low poverty middle school. Always looking for school supplies.
      Can anyone help

      • Hi, thanks for your question. Is your school a Canadian Registered Charity? If it is, and you put a WishList on your school’s website, and let me know what the link is, then I would be able to link to it from CharityWishList.ca so people know you welcome receiving school supplies (note that the registered status will be verified first before a link is added to CharityWishList.ca .) Best to include in your WishList what items you want, who and how to contact to discuss drop-off/pick-up (if any), and address. If you update the list, please keep the same file name so the link from CharityWishList.ca continues to work. Thanks, Michelle Beaupre, Owner, CharityWishList.ca

      • I have pens, pencils, paper, binders and other school supplies that I would like to donate. Please let me know where to take them so kids can use them without paying for them.

        • Hi Dale, thank you for your inquiry. I would suggest contacting Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Club. I have updated the info on CharityWishList.ca, but it may not appear live until tomorrow. Here is a link to their WishList on their website.
They have after school programs that would benefit greatly from your donation of school supplies. Ian Edward, Executive Director

      • Are you still interested in office supplies?

        • Hi Sunita, you would need to contact the charity of choice directly please and ask. See list on this page. I don’t collect items myself. Just letting you know charities near you that have shown interest in receiving the types of items in the category. Hope this helps.

      • Hi,

Does your school have any need for 3 ring binders?

We have approx. 200 med-large size binders

        • Hi Karen, wow 200 that’s a lot of binders! I would suggest contacting after school programs, school boards and camps. Perhaps the binders could be used to store arts and craft projects in classrooms? With the move to online storage of documents, there isn’t a high demand for binders in general. But I have got a lead I am looking into for you. Please let me know if you find a new home for the binders, and I will contact you again if my lead is interested. I will email you directly. Thanks, Michelle Beaupre

        • Yes please

  2. Good morning,
We are doing a clean up of our office and we have a large quantity of binders, some of them new, most of them used but in perfect condition. Is this something you would be interested in? We need to get rid of the binders as soon as possible, whatever we can’t donate is going to end up in the garbage and we would hate to have to do that. I would really appreciate it if you can get back to me soon.

    Kind regards,

    Carolina

    • Hi Carolina, thank you for trying to find a place that could use the binders, instead of throwing them away. CharityWishList.ca helps find Charities near you, it doesn’t collect anything itself. For Toronto, I would suggest you try Dovercourt Boys and Girls Club Boys & Girls Clubs, or schools (especially those with summer camps for craft collections,) Also I’ve found that animal shelters are often appreciative. Hope this helps.

  3. I have 3 new toners unopened. Staples won’t take them back because they are over the restock date to return. It is toners for 304A HP Printer Color Laser Jet (2) Yellow CC53A and (1) Magenta CC533A. If you have use for them let me know. Our office is located at 789 DonMills road suite 1010. 9am to 5pm Monday to Fridays you can pick them up.

    • Hi Princess Hew, thank you for wanting to find someone to use the extra ink cartridges that you have. CharityWishList.ca doesn’t collect or distribute anything itself. It is like a directory that helps people find charities near them that want what they want to give away. Unfortunately, specific ink cartridge models needed by charities is something I do not have a list of except for a few and they don’t need the model you have. I would recommend asking to speak to a manager at Staples. If the boxes are unopened, and they were purchased within a reasonable time period, you could make a strong case for them taking them back. Best of luck with your search.

  4. Hello, I have 20-30 new to mint condition binders. I am in Markham. Would you know if anyone would want them? Thanks. Julie

  5. Office clean up in progress and we have binders and tabs (numbered 1-25, 1-10, etc.) Some of the tabs are not complete sets but they are in good condition. Would like to donate these instead of dumping in the landfill. Our office is located at Weston Road and Ormont Drive.

  6. Doris Lahuatte

I am a University student with pens, markers and paper packs that are almost new , I want to donate them instead of throwing them into the garbage.
Do you have any suggestion for me at this time.

    • Hi Doris, thank you for asking. I see you were on the Toronto page. Have you tried the charities listed? You haven’t mentioned where in Toronto you are located, so hard to suggest options near you. If you send me info on where you are, I will try to help. Email: [email protected] Thanks, Michelle Beaupre.

  7. I’m Canadian who has a school in Somalia particularly Puntland State. I’m looking to have free school supplies and furniture to take into my school at Puntland. How do I get those supplies and furniture? And where should I go to see those things?

    • Hi Yusuf, you could likely do a donation drive. Maybe try to partner with a Canadian Registered Charity. (CharityWishList.ca doesn’t collect anything itself. Just connects people who want to give stuff away to charity, to Canadian Registered charities that that have indicated they are interested in the type of item.) I hope this is helpful. Best of luck.

  8. Hi, Daphne,
I have lots of new and gently used binders and papers to donate. I am in Mississauga area. Do you have any suggestion where I can donate these? Thank you

    • Hi Carol, (don’t know who Daphne is)

Thank you for wanting to find a new home for your office supplies.
I contacted 211 since I didn’t have an organization on my website. They suggest:

AIZA’s Teddy Bear Foundation, they are looking for school supplies and books T. 647-864-2492, email: [email protected] http://www.aizasteddybearfoundation.com/donate/

You would need to contact them directly to make arrangements for drop off. CharityWishList.ca is like a directory. Doesn’t collect anything itself.

      Hope this helps,

  9. Hi, I work at a law firm that is winding down and we have a few binders (most of them new) that we’d like to give away. Who do I need to contact?

    • Hi Valeria, what part of Toronto, and are we talking about less than 10? With binders, they are often useful to arts and crafts programs, for youth to put their art works into. So likely an after 4 program of a school, or daycare. With so many offices going paperless there is a real influx of binders so it is getting more difficult to re-home them. You could also try St Vincent de Paul re-stores at https://ssvp.on.ca/en/stores2.php?store=36
You would need to contact them directly, CharityWishList.ca is like a directory to help to point you in the likely direction of finding a charity that wants your stuff. Thanks, Michelle

  10. Hi, I have a lot of used and unused stationary I would like to donate including brand new pencils, pens, erasers, sharpeners, pencil cases, pencil crayons, glue sticks, rulers. 11. Hello,

    Regards,
    Neera

  12. Demetra Alexandrou

  14. Hello, I have some second-hand notebooks, but I don’t use them very much because there are too many (these notebooks are almost brand new). I wonder where I can donate them in Toronto (I hope the location is near to DT). Thank you so much.
